 Students will read an article from Newsela titled:

The Bug Cycle: From Egg to Adult and take the short quiz

This article should take you about 15 minutes to read.  I can tell how long you’ve read each article .  Please be honest and read the entire article.   

Next, draw a picture of a bug’s life cycle.  Make sure to label each stage of the cycle. 

 You can draw an insect that was in the article or another bug’s life cycle that you can research about.

When the picture is complete please e-mail me a picture at [email protected] or send it through classdojo.  Have fun!

Social Studies Work

 

We will be studying people and cultures for the next two weeks in Social Studies.
Due on Thursday, April 9th. 

For your project, you must make a travel poster of your interviewer’s country. 

 Para su proyecto, debe hacer un cartel de viaje del país de su entrevistador. 

 

  1. 1. First, write the name of your country on the top of your poster.  Make sure it in NOT done in just pencil.  Outline it in marker, colored pencil, crayon.  Must be neat and colored in carefully.

  1.  Primero, escribe el nombre de tu país en la parte superior de tu póster.  Asegúrese de que NO se hace en sólo lápiz.  Delinea en marcador, lápiz de color, crayón.  Debe ser limpio y coloreado con cuidado. 


  1. 2. Research on the internet places to visit in your country. Include at least 4-6 interesting sights.  Make sure each picture gets a label, telling what it is.  You can draw the pictures or cut and paste from the internet or a magazine. 

  1. Investigación en los lugares de Internet para visitar en su país. Incluya al menos 4-6 lugares de interés.  Asegúrese de que cada imagen reciba una etiqueta, diciendo lo que es.  Puede dibujar las imágenes o cortar y pegar desde Internet o una revista. 


  1. 3. Include a small picture of your country’s flag.  Label the flag with the meaning of its colors.

  1. 4. Include a small map of your country, which can be drawn or printed.  Label the capital with a star, label important cities with a tiny black dot, and label the area where your relatives came from with a tiny red dot. (if you can)

  1. 5. Place your interview sheet on the back of your poster.

  1. When you are done send me a video of you describing your poster through Class Dojo or e-mail me a picture to [email protected]. Can’t wait to see all of your wonderful projects. Have fun and be creative.
