We feel that it's important to talk and discuss about racism.

Please watch the video below author Jelani Memory is reading his book called A Kids Book About Racism

Read Aloud about Racism

It has a very powerful message in it.

When you are done listening to the book, I want you to jot down any thoughts, feelings, questions, ideas, and/or concerns about racism or about George Floyd and the very necessary movement that is happening in our country today.

You don't have to put your name on the top of the blank paper.  This is not a GRADED assignment, but a required one.  We need to have this all important conversation about #blacklivesmatter. We need this done by Wednesday afternoon at 3pm.  So that we can answer those questions and discuss those feelings.  NO names will be mentioned.

So come to our open discussion meeting on Thursday morning at 11:30.  I would like to have as many students there as possible.
